ContraVT contains information of interest to contra dancers all over the Vermont.
ContraVT is sent once a month; occasionaly there is an update mid-month. All emails contain information about events that should appeal to contra dancers, such as folk music performances, dance and music workshops, public television programs, and, uh, contra dances.
Please don't confuse ContraVT with ContraNews!. ContraVT is the Vermont contra dance email newsletter, ContraNews is the email newsletter for Contracopia. Contracopia is the largest online music store specializing in contra dance music from all over the U.S., and ContraNews highlights new CDs added to the site and lists events of national interest. Most people are concerned about privacy when signing up for something like this, and rightly so. The mailing list for ContraVT is managed by Topica, and I have found them to be reliable. They have their own privacy statement that you can read, just go to www.topica.com. CyberYankee never sends unsolicited email, and follows a strict Privacy Statement. If at any time you want to be removed from the ContraVT list, a simple blank email is all it takes. Removal instructions are on every issue of ContraVT.
